Her executive background includes senior roles in private wealth and capital markets, including with HSBC, Bank of America, and OMFinancial. She is also currently an independent director at Ports of Napier and Westpac New Zealand and Chairperson of WMS Group and Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company.

Debbie brings deep expertise in investment strategy, risk management, and governance, with a particular focus on aligning commercial performance with social and cultural outcomes. In 2023, she received the INFINZ Te Tohu Kahukura Māori Leadership in Finance Award for her contribution to the Māori economy.

Furthermore, she has served on several government advisory committees, including the Sovereign Green Bond Establishment Committee, the Green Investment Finance Establishment Committee, and the KiwiSaver Default Provider Evaluation Panel.

Now, as the Chairperson of the Board at SFS Private Wealth, she’s dedicated to providing strategic guidance and ensuring SFS meets all compliance and governance obligations, as well as keeping our stakeholder’s and client’s best interests at the centre of every decision.
