Wei Wei leads the Offshore Wealth division for China at SFS Private Wealth, connecting clients and external asset managers with New Zealand as a secure and globally respected base for investment. With over 15 years of experience in financial markets, Wei has held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and CITIC Securities, where he led institutional equity, futures, and brokerage operations across Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
Wei’s expertise spans global market access, derivatives, and cross-border investment structures, with a focus on helping clients diversify assets, mitigate jurisdictional risk, and capture international opportunities from a New Zealand platform. Having been deeply involved in establishing Morgan Stanley’s first wholly foreign-owned futures business in China, Wei combines technical knowledge with a deep understanding of regulatory and market dynamics across Asia.
Educated in both New Zealand and the United States, Wei holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and an MBA from Brandeis University in Boston. His leadership brings global connectivity, strategic insight, and trusted expertise to SFS Private Wealth’s growing offshore platform.
